ABOUT
Sustainable For Good is a small-batch studio creating reusable home goods designed to replace everyday single-use items.
Each piece is made by hand with intention — designed to be used, washed, and used again. The focus is on simple swaps that fit naturally into daily life, without sacrificing beauty, function, or ease.
The studio grew from a desire to reduce waste in practical, accessible ways. What began as a commitment to making better everyday choices has evolved into a collection of thoughtfully made reusables for the home — items meant to become part of your routine, not a replacement you have to think about.
All products are made in small batches, with care given to materials, construction, and longevity. Sustainability here isn’t about perfection — it’s about choosing things that last, and using them well.
Sustainable For Good is built on the belief that small, intentional changes — repeated over time — can add up to meaningful impact.
ARTIST BIO
Rebecca Plachte-Zuieback is a California-based textile artist and the founder of Sustainable For Good, a studio rooted in sustainability, reuse, and material storytelling.
Her creative practice spans both functional design and fine art. Through Sustainable For Good, she designs and hand-makes reusable home goods intended to replace single-use items in everyday life. The studio emphasizes small-batch production, thoughtful materials, and objects meant to be lived with and used repeatedly.
Alongside this functional work, Rebecca maintains an independent fine-art practice focused on large-scale textile and fabric collage. These works are constructed entirely from reclaimed and leftover fabrics — many originating from the production of her reusable goods. What begins as excess material is transformed into detailed, immersive scenes that explore imagined worlds shaped by coexistence, balance, and quiet magic.
Her collage work is built without paint or paper, relying instead on machine-stitched fabric layers, texture, color, and intuition. From a distance, the pieces read as cohesive landscapes; up close, they reveal intricate details and narratives formed through repetition, reuse, and slow construction.
Rebecca’s dual practice reflects a single philosophy: that materials already in existence hold value, possibility, and beauty when approached with care. Whether creating functional objects or expansive textile artworks, her work centers on longevity, intention, and the belief that meaningful change often begins with small, repeated acts.
She lives and works in California, where she continues to explore the intersection of sustainability, art, and everyday life.
